The Meta Reality Labs (RL) Finance Team is a fast-growing team that manages the finances for Meta’s Reality Lab division, which includes Quest VR products. This role is part of the Devices Operations Finance team that oversees our investments in new product development, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory and capital investment. We focus on using our unique view into the numbers to see trends and opportunities that are developing within the company as well as across the industry. The role focuses on managing various COGS line items that flow into the P&L and developing a solid understanding of the full P&L and RL operating model. You will gain invaluable experience in a position which offers significant responsibility and interaction with management as well as considerable opportunity to have a large impact within a growing Finance organization. This is a cross functional role which involves interaction with Product Management, Program managers, Engineers, Sales and Accounting. Successful candidates for this team have a bias towards action, exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know-how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.
Finance Manager, Reality Labs COGS Responsibilities
  • Create strong business partnerships with RL Operations Leadership and support strategic decision making processes.
  • Provide financial support across planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in COGS areas
  • Build thoughtful analyses to drive better investment decisions
  • prepare plans of action for investment, using financial analyses and financial models.
  • Help business partners gain key insights into spending through analyses and reporting. Provide business partners with hands-on analytical support and cost analysis to develop actionable insights to manage investments
  • Help define and implement scalable financial processes related to month-end and quarter-end close, including accruals and reporting. Drive process improvements by partnering with up-stream process owners and enhance current tools/systems related to financial management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 6+ years experience in finance or related field
  • Experience with building complex financial models in Excel
  • Experience in accounting concepts and financial planning
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with leadership
  • Experience working independently and navigating ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase
  • MBA
  • Experience in consumer electronics, hardware product development process
  • Experience in managing all the major P&L items
  • Exposure or experience in Cost Accounting

$111,000/year to $162,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
