Associate General Counsel, Trade Compliance
This position will play a key role in advising on Meta's export, import, and sanctions compliance programs, as well as providing legal support for our broader trade compliance initiatives.
Associate General Counsel, Trade Compliance Responsibilities
  • Counsel and advise on export controls, including deemed exports, and import matters for business transactions, product offerings, and other activities
  • Assist in the design and implementation of company-wide compliance programs and initiatives, including compliance policies, processes, and training
  • Undertake special projects and support other compliance program initiatives
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 8+ years of attorney experience with US and EU export and import regulations at a law firm or in-house with a multinational corporation
  • Presentation and communication experience
  • Record of legal and business judgment and strategic thinking
Preferred Qualifications
  • A mix of of regulatory, law firm, and/or in-house experience
  • Experience handling issues involving US and EU sanctions regulations
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities

$190,000/year to $256,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
