We are looking for an experienced Data Science Director to drive success in Advertiser Products. The Advertiser Products team’s vision is to help all advertisers achieve their business goals with a strong ROI and good advertiser experience across the Facebook Family of Apps (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger). Advertiser-focused, we are responsible for ads targeting and other core products for our $100 Billion+ ads system. In this role, you will partner closely with cross-functional leads to build products that improve campaign performance and advertiser experience. You will be formulating product strategy, understanding key drivers of advertiser value, and influencing the product roadmap with data. Are you ready to make an impact at scale? Data Science Director, Advertiser Products Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a team of 20+ Data Scientists.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering and other cross-functional teams to inform product strategy and investment decisions.
  • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, data scientists, researchers, and other functional experts.
  • Be proactive with asking questions, ensuring that the right questions are being answered with appropriate level of rigor and that analyses lead to clear and actionable recommendations and impactful product changes.
  • Deeply understand the Ads ecosystem and define and analyze metrics that evaluate our trajectory and inform the success of our products.
  • Cultivate culture of executional excellence and rigor.
  • Support, develop and grow a healthy analytics organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in managing other team members and direct reports.
  • 5+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience managing managers and growing the organization.
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion autonomously.
  • Experience communicating the results of analysis to stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product management, etc.).
  • Proficiency with metrics and A/B testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing managers and growing the organization.
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role in a technology company, consulting, investment banking, or product management.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL or other programming languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
