Production Engineers at Meta are hybrid software/systems engineers who ensure that Facebook's services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth. They are embedded in every one of Facebook's product and infrastructure teams, and are core participants in every significant engineering effort underway in the company. Production Engineering for Storage is responsible for the reliable and efficient scaling of what’s possibly the largest fully private object storage fleet in the world. We are the custodians of the world’s memories; all images, audio and video from our global platforms are stored permanently here. We also support storing and high velocity analytics across all of our properties’ oceans of data, and a complete backup and disaster recovery solution set for the entirety of Meta. As a Production Engineer, you’ll work across distinct teams within Storage to drive best practices, cross-team alignment, and prioritization around projects that impact the entire space as we merge multiple distinct purpose-built offerings into a single merged storage fabric with world-class efficiency, performance, security, and operability. Our team is comprised of varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new grads to industry veterans.
