Meta is looking for a Program/Project Manager to join its Central Privacy Organization, Privacy Planning and Operations Team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and potentially ambiguous environment, is skilled at leading complex cross-functional initiatives and is excited to build standardization and key processes in support of privacy at Meta. Successful candidates are motivated and driven self-starters who see the value of creating inclusive spaces when solving hard problems and recognize diverse perspectives. The Privacy Planning and Operations team helps design, promote and facilitate adoption of strategic projects and initiatives that involve multiple teams, processes and functions within the Central Privacy Organization and across teams throughout the company. You will serve as a Program/Project Manager, driving the roadmap of short- and long-term privacy initiatives, and ensuring that key milestones and deliverables are met across multiple cross-functional privacy teams. You will deliver and iterate on processes, tools, products, infrastructure, and decisions that honors privacy in everything we do. This is a highly collaborative role. Success will require strong cross-functional collaboration, excellent project/program management skills, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. The ability to thrive in ambiguity while bringing clarity and standardization to processes and functions is critical to success. You should be a team player who is comfortable challenging our existing ways of working and bringing a fresh perspective to our approach.
Program/Project Manager, Privacy Planning and Operations Responsibilities
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity while building new processes, maturing existing processes and driving standardization across teams and functions.
  • Identify, prioritize and support initiatives that leverage the collective capabilities of multiple teams, and drive coordination, clarity, and a cohesive strategy to map and unblock interdependencies across individual teams.
  • Drive accountability and key performance indicators to measure success and ensure that critical projects remain on track
  • manage dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Foster and cultivate deep partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders across privacy, legal, and policy teams.
  • Develop and implement methods and capabilities to define and measure the progress and success of programs in a standardized and consistent manner.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define timelines, drive milestones, and ensure execution of large-scale privacy program initiatives.
  • Establish and deploy processes that enable efficient and effective privacy capabilities at scale and to move at speed in a constantly evolving privacy regulatory environment.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and ensure user privacy is not compromised.
  • Manage small team of contractors with the potential to manage FTE as the team grows in the future.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience with program/project management, compliance, legal, operations and/or strategy.
  • Experience building and iterating on complex processes that require both process and tool adoption and change management.
  • Experience working within a product environment and partnering with product managers and engineering functions.
  • Project management, problem solving, time-management and organizational skills, and the experience setting strategic priorities combined with a demonstrated aptitude of delivering operational results.
  • Communicator with a track record of aligning cross-functional teams around a common goal.
  • Experience leading small teams of program/project managers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in one of the following: privacy and data protection, operational risk management, compliance, audit and implementation of control frameworks, privacy by design, information security, incident management or other related field
