We are looking for an experienced lead programmer, engineering manager or senior programmer looking to step into a management role to help support the Unit 2 Games technical team to develop features for Crayta.
Engineering Manager (Games) - Unit 2 Games Responsibilities
  • Assist the head of engineering by leading a team of engineers to execute medium term projects.
  • Build strong relationships with the technical leads to ensure projects are executed in a way that fits with the overall technical vision of the project.
  • Drive improvements throughout the codebase using code-review, collaborative working and modern communication tools.
  • Lead from the front by also making individual engineering contributions to the project as well as managing others.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience managing a team.
  • 5+ years games development experience
  • 5+ years working in C++ and an eye for code quality
  • 3+ years experience of the full feature development lifecycle including requirements gathering, development, testing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Unreal experience.
  • Unity experience and C#.
  • Experience of HTML/CSS approaches to game UI (React for example).
  • Knowledge of Jira or alternative project management software.
  • Good communication skills including written and presentation skills.
