Meta is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer, NIC that will manage the end-to-end quality of Networking Cards, used in Meta Data Center environments. The Supplier Quality Engineer will help solve NPI challenges and will work on NIC development, starting form Alpha stage. They will also develop MP strategies and support sustaining work (high volume). This is a full-time position and reports to the Technical Lead Manager, as part of the Sourcing and Operations Engineering team.
Supplier Quality Engineer - NIC Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end quality of Networking Cards used in Meta Data Center environments. Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to assure new product readiness and ensure performance meets the key quality and reliability metrics.
  • Manage qualification and quality of critical semiconductor components on networking cards.
  • Responsible for Supply Chain and Data Center quality excursion management through root cause analysis while driving implementation and validation of process improvement and corrective actions.
  • Perform regular audits of Supplier manufacturing facilities. Create and maintain all production process and quality documentation. Manage all supplier product, process and engineering change notifications.
  • Use reliability prediction tools and techniques to evaluate product reliability performance on new products. Monitor supplier’s adherence to new product introduction schedules to ensure predictable and stable mass production volume ramp.
  • Conduct supplier capability and technology roadmap assessments to assist supply chain and hardware teams in vendor selection.
  • Monitor and improve supplier quality performance. Review and disposition all supplier product, process and engineering change notifications.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following fields. Networking semiconductor or module product/test/reliability engineering, Network testing and trouble-shooting (card, interface, SmartNIC, switch levels).
  • Experience with PCBAs and electronic system functional and structural testing, networking silicon/module automated test.
  • Experience working with and managing off-shore manufacturing.
  • Experience working in a multi-functional team to define requirements and suitable metrics for the performance of new products and process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of semiconductor and module manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities, and equipment.
  • Experience with design of experiments, root cause analysis and problem resolution on a conceptual and advanced troubleshooting level.
  • Knowledge of reliability test and product qualification specifications and procedures.
  • Understanding of failure rate modeling and predictive statistics. Effective communication skills.
