Product Designer Responsibilities
  • Design, prototype, and build flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for Facebook's platforms, products, or applications.
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable.
  • Design web and mobile workflows and user experiences that are adaptable to users' changing needs.
  • Utilize a full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems.
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for quality.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the feasibility of the design and functionality with the necessary level of finesse.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions with the product and executive teams.
  • Ensure cohesive branding with the marketing team.
  • Identify ways in which technologies can provide new functionality and better user experiences.
  • Provide additional post-launch design support to maximize continued efficiency in a constantly evolving environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Telecommunications or a related field and 12 months experience in Job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 12 months of experience involving following:
  • Building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features across a variety of platforms
  • Interaction Design
  • Prototyping
  • Typography, desktop/mobile UI, color or layout, iconography
  • Building and shipping applications and software
  • Providing URLs featuring examples of interaction design work
  • End-to-end hybrid UX and UX product design.
