The Business Planning & Operations (BP&O) lead, Business Ecosystem Partnerships (BEP) will be supporting a global stakeholder group while also working cross-functionally to solve some of the most complex problems facing the business. The objective of this role is to lead the global BP&O function for channel partnership program in developing markets. BEP is a critical function within our global sales organization that essentially manages Facebook’s ecosystem partnerships. Partners create value for FB’s sales organization by increasing near and long-term revenue, improving advertiser experience, and enabling internal FB teams to focus on highest value add areas. Advertisers use partners to fill capability gaps, increase efficiency and effectiveness of ad spend, and succeed in other areas of their business outside of ads. BEP helps ensure the health of this ecosystem through partner management, programmatic support, and sales engineering.
The mission of our Business Planning and Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization through analytics, strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. We identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth while supporting the operational and planning cadence to surface business insights. In your role as a lead within the Business Planning and Operations team for Global Marketing Partnerships, you will be a key partner to the business delivering against three core functions: 1) Operations (e.g. planning, metrics, and rhythm of business), 2) Strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and 3) Organizational enablement through data driven analyses, process improvements and tools.
The successful candidate must be able to roll-up his/her sleeves. The candidate will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, can influence executive stakeholders, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. This candidate will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results in a clear and easy-to-understand way. Prior experience supporting a global sales program will be critical to success. Business Planning & Operations Lead, Business Ecosystem Partnerships Responsibilities
Act as a strategic, trusted advisor to global business stakeholders providing objective, data driven guidance on key initiatives
Drive streamlined and efficient processes (e.g., goal setting & reporting, roadmapping, planning) to further streamline rhythm of the business
Manage global initiatives whilst working with the BEP teams and also drive alignment and develop projects that scale at a global level & span partner types
Lead analysis on business performance. Conduct insightful data driven analysis to derive insights that will drive business decisions and recommendations
Improve operational excellence through identification and execution of initiatives that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business. This includes identifying ways in which tools can be built and deployed to improve workflows
Support medium/long-term planning including deep analytics of business potential
Build cross-functional relationships and be able to establish resources to help solve complex interdisciplinary problems on behalf of the business
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business or related field)
10+ years of work experience in Management Strategy Consulting or corporate strategy/Sales Planning & Operations, or 8+ years of experience with MBA/Master's degree
Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets
Experience explaining concepts to audiences
Experience leading and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization
Knowledge of organizational dynamics, change management, and process improvement
Proven project management capabilities
Advanced spreadsheet and presentation software skill - proficiency in SQL
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field
Experience with online advertising as well as sales strategy and operations
Experience working with or in support of many different business units, especially partner organizations where revenue is not the primary KPI
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
