Meta is searching for an experienced leader to join the executive communications team leading product communications. This person will lead product communications for a C-level executive, working closely with executives to build and execute on a strategic plan to communicate about the value and relevance of the products and technologies we’re shipping today, and excitement about the value the metaverse will create for people in the future. The ideal candidate is someone who can oversee a broad range of product communications programs, leading a team of communications professionals and partnering closely with executives across Meta. This person will work alongside product communications teams that are responsible for our Family of Apps, and Reality Labs division. A passion for social products and technologies, as well as content creators and platforms, and the ability to move fast in fluid situations is key for this role. This individual must excel at working collaboratively with high-level executives and colleagues alike, understands the content and creator world, and consistently deliver high-quality work, even under severe time constraints.
Director, Product Communications (Exec) Responsibilities
  • Serve as strategic communications advisor to C-level executive by helping lead communications campaigns, product launches and public engagements.
  • Work collaboratively and cross functionally across product communications teams, creative teams, and other stakeholders in product and marketing to build and execute communications plans to support the C-level executive in leading product announcements.
  • Manage proactive and reactive media cycles around product, corporate and policy communication topics surrounding an executive.
  • Find and secure external speaking and thought leadership opportunities with traditional and non-traditional media.
  • Oversee reporting and metrics that measure and track the results of communications campaigns and external engagements.
  • Manage a small team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or a related field.
  • 12+ years of consumer technology communications experience.
  • Experience working with C-level executives.
  • Experience in product communications and managing product announcements, launches and campaigns.
  • Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, managing several projects at one time and under competing deadlines.
  • Media relations skills and relationships with traditional and non-traditional media (tech and business influencers).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in consumer technology
