Meta is seeking a global supply chain leader to be responsible for New Product Introductions (NPI) and Operations for infrastructure hardware programs (inclusive of compute, storage, and networking hardware). This highly visible and impactful role will build a team of NPI sourcing, material, and business managers and is responsible for value stream selection, planning, execution, and implementation of new products. This role owns and ensures overall hardware execution with respect to negotiations, partner management, schedule, budget, resource allocation, risk management, issue resolution and compliance to internal quality requirements. The Director will also be responsible for building a shared services organization providing support for various operational activities across the Global Supply Chain organization.
NPI and Operations Director, Global Supply Chain Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow NPI and Operations team spanning multiple geographies.
  • Develop an organizational vision for the future of supply chain NPI at Meta.
  • Drive decisions on demand creation, build priorities, capacity allocation, new technology adoption, pricing variance and bring to bear worldwide hardware capabilities to Meta’s advantage.
  • Optimize supply chain performance by supervising metrics such as lead time, cost, risk, and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering/supply chain management teams on status, priorities, issue resolution and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate across Meta organizations, specifically with hardware design, technical program manager, and release to production teams to deliver on new product development schedules and supply requirements.
  • Guide teams through the NPI phase from tape-out to mass production ramp.
  • Develop effective demand forecasts based on historical trends and demand patterns and address supply related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee all critical work including plan of record process, final test programs and operational reports to meet productization milestones and volume requirements.
  • Rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to executive teams and proactively identify and resolve potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.
  • Leverage commercial and technology agreements to assess and mitigate risks to the business.
  • Handle global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of international teams on site if needed and on short notice.
  • Design, hire, and implement a shared services organization to support operational activities inclusive of tooling enablement, reporting, metrics, insights, order placement, invoice exception management, and on time delivery management.
  • Work with IT system developers to spec, implement, and validate new tools/systems.
  • Support development of complex, multi-year, supply chain strategies and implementation plans.
  • Champion activities across multiple functional groups within the larger infrastructure team.
  • Design, develop and implement operational learning and development roadmap for the NPI team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Track record of identifying, developing, and promoting talent.
  • Experience delivering NPI excellence in demanding environments. Outsourcing and manufacturing operations experience for hardware products, to include an understanding of factory and manufacturing systems and tools. Demonstrated manufacturing knowledge in multiple manufacturing models.
  • Experience in planning of NPI launches, product ramp, sustaining support, and end-of-life cycle for computer hardware products in a large-scale environment.
  • Experience setting vision and executing reliably. Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and developing supply chain planning teams.
  • Experience in cross functional partnership and enabling the success of others.
  • Experience transforming business systems, models, and achieving results relative to goals. Demonstrated skills questioning the norm, thinking out-of-bounds, and delivering.
