We are seeking a technically sophisticated and detail oriented individual who will serve as a member of Facebook's Business Planning & Operations team. This position will have a day-to-day focus on providing analytical, strategic, and operational support for Facebook's Business Messaging Group (BMG) organization with the primary objective of enabling leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic decisions. The mission of Business Messaging is to be the primary way that people and businesses communicate. This role is an exciting and high-profile opportunity to influence the trajectory of a high growth business within Meta. The ideal candidate is passionate about finding insights in data, has a background in a technical or quantitative field, experience in problem-solving using large data sets, and can communicate strategic recommendations effectively with leadership.
Business Planning & Operations Analyst, Business Messaging Responsibilities
  • Identify insights and trends to drive business strategy and decisions including short and long-term growth, operational excellence, and business productivity
  • Enable BMG sales and marketing teams to forecast, set goal targets, report on and monitor the success of efforts with partners, customers and users
  • Conduct insightful analysis on the B2B sales and marketing funnel in order to optimize demand generation and conversion rates at each stage in the funnel
  • Build reporting and analytics tools, visualizations, and dashboards to allow Sales and Marketing teams to self-serve key metrics and data
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind the numbers and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Establish & refine rhythm of business analyses and weekly/monthly reporting cadences for BMG leadership
  • Gather, and analyze large amounts of data across a variety of business dimensions (products, countries, verticals, channels, segments and many more)
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for BMG, our stakeholders, and Business Planning & Operations leadership
  • Effectively plan and collaborate with team members on data-driven projects to improve internal tools, systems, and data pipelines
Minimum Qualifications
  • Excel and Tableau experience
  • Advanced SQL experience
  • Experience presenting technical content to non-technical audiences and leadership
  • Experience analyzing and deriving meaning from unstructured data sets
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of work experience involving analytical rigor as typically seen in Sales Finance, Business Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting
  • Experience utilizing both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis techniques
  • Demonstrated problem-solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data analyses
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with B2B sales and marketing analytics in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) or B2B tech industry
  • Experience taking complex topics and creating compelling and structured narratives for different audiences on a consistent basis
  • Experience or knowledge of advertising and ad products
  • MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, and capable of seeking information, corralling resources, and delivering results without direction
