The Tax Operations Team is looking for an experienced Manager to support our growing technology and transformation efforts. The processes covered in the transformation efforts include US income tax compliance, worldwide income tax provision, and all related calculations, reporting, and analytics. This role will support strategic planning of technology initiatives as well as being directly responsible for execution of initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to touch many different areas within income tax, use the tools of today and tomorrow, and work with cross functional teams across Meta.
Tax Technology Manager Responsibilities
  • Contribute to tax transformation team’s mission by identifying opportunities to incorporate technology solutions and pursue those opportunities
  • Assist with annual refresh of the 3-year technology roadmap
  • Support the planning and execution of complex tax and finance projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Work with tax team members to understand needs and collect business requirements
  • Work closely with Enterprise Engineering group to create tax product requirements and help conduct testing
  • Able to provide post-production maintenance and support
  • Ability to use data analytics tools and visualization tools
  • Proactively communicate updates, anticipate potential issues and implement appropriate mitigations
  • Stay informed on the latest tax technology trends
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Data Management, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Exposure and experiences with tax provision software (OneSource, Corptax, etc.)
  • Familiarity with project management and document management software: Asana, Microsoft Planner/Project, Microsoft SharePoint and/or Google Suite.
  • Experience automating computations with self-service, low-code tools: Alteryx or Power Query
  • Experience with visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of tax experiences in either public accounting or industry
  • Manager level experience working in both Big4 and industry tax technology roles
  • Experience querying data from databases: Apache Hive (or NoSQL equivalents), MySQL (or RDBMS equivalents)
  • Experience with RPA: Power Automate or UiPath
