Our work manifests working at Meta in a tangible, scalable way and advances a generative dialogue between art and technology with a diversity of artistic practices. We are hiring a Program Manager in Experiences to focus on developing and delivering compelling and innovative creative engagement workshops and events for Meta employees in makerspaces in key locations and for distributed workers. Our team consists of project managers, educators, makers, curators, and producers who strongly believe in the value and power of art and design in society.
Experiences Program Manager, Open Arts Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality, effectiveness, and accountability to Meta, standards and processes and support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and internal learning initiatives that impact Meta’s employee population.
  • Work closely with all pillars of Open Arts (Commissions, Design, Partnerships & Communications and Strategy & Operations), and work directly with the Experiences Lead and Team to build community through creativity at Meta.
  • Ideate, develop, implement and evaluate scalable interactive and immersive strategies and experiences to encourage deeper participation in Open Arts programs across a range of modalities and creative media working closely with Open Arts Education Program Manager to meet specific learning outcomes and goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage alliances locally, regionally and globally with key stakeholders in the internal community across Meta to build sustainable relationships and grow Open Arts audience engagement.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage alliances locally, regionally and globally with external creative partners (teaching artists, creative technologists and other subject matter experts) to develop collaborative processes and impactful programming solutions.
  • Manage Experiences team coordinators/facilitators in event planning, scheduling, communication and delivery ensuring consistent high quality experiences for Meta employees.
  • Inform and monitor design, commissioning and maintenance of Open Arts Labs (MakerSpaces) as assigned, to global standards.
  • Manage vendors/contracts, purchase orders and payments for tools and materials and efficient budget tracking and reporting.
  • Regularly represent and advocate for Open Arts Experiences team internally to various audience sizes and occasionally do same/similar externally.
  • Regular travel regionally and occasional travel
Minimum Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated experience communicating complex concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals.
  • Program Management experience, demonstrated experience driving impact with clear objectives, milestones, stakeholders management strategies and outcome reporting.
  • Experience implementing innovative creative education programs at scale that include multiple components and modalities.
  • Problem-solving skills with the experience prioritizing and exercise sound judgment in complex, fast moving and ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and receptiveness to, the uses of emerging technologies in creative education as well as demonstrated experience in developing interactive, hands-on learning and maker experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest for art, design and craft based creative practices and/or experience with Makerspaces and design thinking.
  • Degree in fine art, museum studies or museum education, organizational development or related field.
  • Essential project management qualification and familiarity with Cornerstone or similar learning management system.
  • Knowledge of current innovations in audience experiences including augmented/virtual reality.
