Meta is hiring a Policy Manager to join the Reality Labs Policy team. The Reality Labs Policy team’s mission is to guide development of AR/VR technologies across Meta as we build the future of the next generation computing platform. This role will work closely with the policy team and cross-functional partners across the company to drive the implementation of Meta’s long term metaverse strategy. They will serve as a policy generalist responsible for implementing processes, drafting leadership briefing materials, coordinating cross-functional partners, and working with subject matter experts and product leads to identify the most impactful, unanswered strategic questions. The ideal candidate is a constant learner, skilled at prioritizing, well-organized, good at navigating ambiguity, expert in juggling multiple tasks/timelines at once, and excited by new technologies. This candidate will be deeply familiar with Meta’s policy organization and have a meaningful understanding of relevant policy issues, including decentralized governance, safety and integrity in social VR, novel data types, and the creation of a digital economy. This person is a great communicator and organizer who excels at working collaboratively with executives, engineering/product teams, and policy colleagues alike and consistently delivers high-quality work under pressure. Experience supporting multiple teams or executive-level projects in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Reality Labs Policy Manager Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft briefing materials for leadership reviews.
  • Track and drive resolution of leadership guidance coming out of these reviews.
  • Contribute to Policy team-wide planning and coordination processes.
  • Consult with internal subject matter experts to identify and synthesize key metaverse strategy questions.
  • Drive execution of specific metaverse-related projects as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects under competitive deadlines.
  • Policy analysis and drafting experience.
  • Experience with creating executive-level briefing materials.
  • Experience with public policy issues governing emerging technology.
  • Experience executing on cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of public policy experience.
  • Experience with strategy development for complex, cross-team initiatives.
  • Master's degree, or equivalent practical tech policy experience.
