We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed, data-driven Event Lead to plan and manage the execution of digital, in-person, and hybrid internal events for the Meta Offices on the Site Team. Success in this role requires the ability to define and create an events strategy for the region, set goals and demonstrate project and budget management skills. This person enjoys a challenge and seeks out new creative opportunities by maintaining a keen eye for compelling and innovative content. They possess a passion for continuous improvement. This person will need to have an entrepreneurial nature to try new and different things with minimal direction with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams. The best candidate for this role will be eager to rise to the challenge of captivating employee engagement in digital and in-person events, proposing and executing new ideas, and ultimately supporting a sense of community in our local offices.
Site Event Lead Responsibilities
  • Lead overall events programming for local Meta offices from concept to execution, events may include Hackathons, Community Fairs and recurring social events both on and off campus
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal employee events at offices
  • Own local events calendar that corresponds to Site Team annual strategic plans
  • Own event processes and communication mechanisms
  • Deliver best practice documents and process improvement
  • Define event metrics to ensure objectives are met
  • Develop and drive event planning milestones and ongoing program schedule
  • Manage creative and graphics plan for all onsite events
  • Manage external supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, creative and RFPs
  • Manage communications and relationships with multiple stakeholders, cross-functional partners, vendor partners, and peers
  • Organize onsite event activations and manage all relevant details such as AV, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, and facilities
  • Solicit internal employee feedback and create event “post-mortem” evaluations to ensure best practices and areas for improvement are captured for future event planning
  • Moderates internal events such as panels, or hosting external guests
  • Responsible for budget management including contracts, purchase orders, purchase requests, payment and reconciliation
  • Ability to travel locally between campuses regularly, domestically and internationally on occasion
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated use of data and metrics to measure event program impact and effectiveness
  • Experienced in presenting to large audiences, executives, and organizations
  • Experience managing multiple events simultaneously
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience being successful in ambiguous environments, remove obstacles independently and tactfully, and make decisions autonomously
  • Proven success in managing complex planning in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace
  • 7+ years of professional event industry experience, agency experience

  • Graphic design experience
  • Event Agency experience
  • Virtual event coordination experience
