Enterprise Engineering Operations touches every employee at Meta, providing a broad range of services and support intended to ensure/maximize employee productivity. The challenge is to deliver services more efficiently year over year simultaneously improving the support experience while scaling substantially slower than the supported user base. The Enterprise Engineering Foundation team provides the critical foundation for employees to function by building infrastructure and deploying office technology into our builds around the globe. This includes circuits and network, audio visual and video conferencing systems, end-user IT, digital wayfinding, production events spaces, specialty demo spaces and more. We also supply tools and equipment to employees that are required to do their jobs. We partner with teams across Enterprise Engineering to ensure we deliver technology solutions that enable employees to collaborate and work effectively. We are seeking a Data Analytics Manager to build, lead and develop a team and program of data analysts that focus on business intelligence and data strategy. This is a people management role, responsible for overseeing full-time employees and managed services. The team is responsible for building the foundation of a scalable data management platform to deliver accurate, reliable and accessible business metrics and predictive analysis. A successful candidate will bring excellent strategic thinking, successful implementation of data analytics programs, a passion for people management, and demonstrated ability to build and scale a team for the opportunities ahead. This role offers the ability to lead and create an entire program that implements solutions, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, and deliver data solutions on a global scale.
Manager, Data Strategy & Analytics Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the analytics vision, strategy and data roadmap aligning with the Enterprise Operations business strategy.
  • Collaborate with service owners, data engineers, and data scientists to define and implement data needs, representing key insights in a meaningful way.
  • Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operations.
  • Lead team to define, build and track key performance metrics to measure success and iterate on opportunities for optimization.
  • Design, build and launch new data models and visualizations in production, leveraging common development toolkits.
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers in order to deliver analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences, and partner with them to identify the right actions.
  • Mature team’s problem solving skills to analyze large and complex business problems by preparing and building greater insights through the collection and analysis of data trends.
  • Develop roadmaps to support planning and execution for a team of analysts and functional business partners in an efficient and scalable manner.
  • Demonstrate an ability to improvise and adapt quickly, while ruthlessly prioritizing.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence/Analytics) or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across stakeholders
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • 4+ years experience developing production software systems such as data pipelines, deployed machine learning models, or dashboards
  • 2+ years managing data analysts or proven experience mentoring individual contributors
  • Expert in querying and manipulating raw datasets for analysis using SQL (Presto, Spark, Hive)
  • Experience with data architecture design and data pipeline optimization
  • Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and database technologies
  • Experience engaging in conceptual technical discussions with data engineering partners, as well as explain issues to less technical audiences
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights and influencing strategic direction
  • Experience initiating and driving programs and projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Demonstrated leadership experience - influencing partners, organizations, successful mentoring, supporting growth of other employees and teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD or equivalent experience) in quantitative field
  • 2+ years of experience doing complex quantitative analysis and working with distributed (i.e. Hive, Hadoop or similar databases) or highly complex datasets
  • Effective project management and communication skills
