Meta FinTech is the newest business division of Meta (formerly Facebook Inc.) leading all things related to financial services, fintech and crypto work across Meta’s platforms, including the Facebook app, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Quest, Portal and the Novi app. We are seeking a motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented candidate to support the strategy, development and implementation of all aspects related to the change management of Meta Fintech’s product lifecycle from a compliance perspective. The candidate will focus on one business line within Meta Fintech. This person will ensure that all new product initiatives, or changes to existing product constructs, are thoroughly evaluated for compliance risks. A successful candidate for this role will have strong collaboration and communication skills, as this role will serve as the primary compliance point of contact for the Product Management team. This person will partner closely with Product Management to gain visibility into all planned product changes and will advise them on such changes from a compliance perspective. The Financial Product function will be responsible for keeping the wider Meta Fintech Compliance team updated on all product changes, and will communicate the risks and highlight the impact to Meta Fintech’s global compliance program and internal requirements. This person will have broad and deep knowledge of compliance domains, such as Sanctions, Know-Your-Customer, AML Transaction Monitoring and Consumer Protection, and will work closely with the compliance leads of these program areas to ensure new risks are properly identified and that controls are implemented where needed. This person will be responsible for seeing that all new product evaluations are submitted to the appropriate committees/forums, ensuring that approvals and documentation are recorded and retained appropriately. This person will have strong project management and prioritization skills, while being able to prioritize projects according to strategic priorities, and be able to effectively manage the compliance assessment process end-to-end from product notification through to delivery of the assessment results to product and engineering partners.
Financial Product Compliance Manager Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the strategy, implementation and execution of our compliance change management program, including the development of Policies and Standards.
  • Provide compliance subject matter expertise to business stakeholders to meet regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Identify creative solutions to compliance-related challenges to support business innovation and growth, while still maintaining a standard of compliance excellence.
  • Evaluate product changes to proactively identify compliance risks.
  • Maintain and carry out a risk assessment framework for product changes.
  • Coordinate with key cross-functional teams (e.g. Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Data Analytics, Compliance) and advise on compliance risks and requirements related to the change management process.
  • Advise Leadership on compliance risks related to new product initiatives.
  • Proactively communicate product changes with the wider compliance team to ensure risks are identified and properly mitigated, ensuring overall compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with compliance program leads to identify risks and ensure mitigating controls are implemented where needed.
  • Iterate on the Design process relating to compliance change management to achieve a best-in-class program.
  • Contribute to related audits and inspections from external parties including regulators, and ensuring findings are remediated appropriately.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on regulatory changes and industry landscape.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Compliance, with a specialty in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
  • 8+ years of compliance experience, including experience in BSA/AML, Sanctions or Consumer Protection regulations globally.
  • Experience advising business leaders on compliance risks.
  • Experience working at a hands-on level with other groups like engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in building AML processes and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialized experience with financial services regulations related to payments or Web3.
  • Background in establishing a new product approval program in large global financial services/tech environments.
  • Experience interfacing with regulators and other governmental stakeholders, as well as internal senior management.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
