Business Engineering Manager Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and executing the team’s Meta technology and software solutions engineering strategies.
  • Oversee a team of business engineers and solution architects to provide consultative guidance and support escalations.
  • Drive software solutions engineering efforts, communicate cross-functionally, make recruitment and hiring decisions, and be a subject matter expert.
  • Hold technical discussions to provide strategic insights and influence the goals and direction of the team.
  • Direct daily solutions engineering operations, analyze workflow, establish priorities, develop standards and set deadlines.
  • Manage relationships with product engineering teams and oversee efforts to write code, build new products and improve existing ones.
  • Work with strategic partners to integrate the Meta platform into their websites, applications and devices, as well as helping implement existing or pre-release aspects of the Meta platform within their products.
  • Identify technical and software problems, solutions and opportunities, and address them using technology and Meta’s large and complex code bases.
  • Use technical expertise in Meta products including Advertisements, API, Pages, and Platform to effectively manage relationship with cross-functional teams and launch products including Alpha and Beta programs.
  • Be responsible for gaining expertise and understanding the nature and business of the partners, identifying problems and opportunities, and addressing them using technology and Meta’s large and complex code base.
  • Troubleshoot partner technical issues in real-time by performing code reviews, analyzing technical requirements, and determining appropriate software and technical solutions.
  • Drive partner bug resolution, requirements and feature requests with product and engineering teams.
  • Build new software products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta Product Engineering Teams.
  • Conduct design and code reviews, and analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
  • Develop software applications and write technical documents.
  • Influence the road map and product development of Meta Ads to meet client's business challenges and align with Meta's business objectives.
  • Write whitepapers, samples, and other materials to share with the broader Meta developer community.
  • Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.
  • Position requires 15% domestic and international travel.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
  • Requires 3 years of experience in the following:
  • 1. Writing scalable, readable, and well-documented production code
  • 2. Conducting software system design and code reviews
  • 3. Working on shared code repositories
  • 4. Building and shipping software products or business applications in a large scale, distributed environment
  • 5. Identifying technical issues and addressing them using technology
  • 6. Building software using PHP, JavaScript, C/C++, Ruby, C#, Java, or Python
  • 7. Designing database schema and using SQL in software development
  • 8. Advanced algorithm development
  • 9. Web technology stack: TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, XHP, JavaScript, CSS, or RESTful/SOAP API
  • 10. Unix or Linux
  • 11. Communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • 12. Moving projects from end-to-end in a cross-functional environment.

$279,104/year to $329,780/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
