Product Designer Responsibilities
  • Design digital user interfaces, create graphics, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and/or define visual systems for web and app-based applications and technologies with a focus on generating new visual language.
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and create design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant for supported platforms.
  • Drive partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists to oversee user experience of a product from conception to launch.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta products.
  • Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship.
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Clearly and succinctly articulate goals and concepts when representing work to broader product team and other leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation. Requires five years of experience in the following:
  • 1. Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs
  • 2. Prototyping
  • 3. Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography
  • 4. Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users
  • 5. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts
  • 6. Defining product specifications and user experiences
  • 7. Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing
  • 8. Leading end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
  • 9. Developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making strategic design decisions based on impact to the company
  • 10. Partnering with cross-functional partners to drive product strategy with a user-centric approach leveraging design thinking methodologies and best practices.

$199,932/year to $223,850/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
