We are looking for a public policy professional, passionate about Meta’s products and the platform’s ability to empower the small and medium business community in India. S/He is an experienced industry participant with a deep knowledge of India’s evolving digital industry with added exposure to cross border trade issues. S/He should be well versed with India’s digital economy including ways of monetization for digital or virtual platforms and related regulatory issues, and have a deep interest in technology and related policy solutions. S/he should also be able to identify and develop policy support frameworks for new and evolving monetisation ideas that Meta platform will want to work on in the future. This role will be a part of the India Public Policy team and will partner closely with other India teams including sales, marketing, communications, and partnerships. As a part of the public policy team, the role will also partner with the global policy team dealing with challenges of driving a seamless digital trade and commerce eco-system.
Public Policy Associate Responsibilities
  • Operate as a key member of the India Public Policy Team with deep understanding of monetization strategy of Meta platforms in India.
  • Own and drive ideas on developing policy positions on platform monetisation for the organization & advocating the same with all internal and external stakeholders including policy makers and regulators.
  • Work closely with internal cross functional partners across multiple teams to ensure effective collaboration and realisation of key strategic & business outcomes
  • Work with public policy team in India and globally to contribute to critical policy issues relating to international trade and commerce.
  • Provide guidance and critical inputs on new products, especially with regards to regulatory concerns, which can create greater monetisation opportunities for Meta in India.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in the field of monetization and related issues, including regulatory concerns
  • Experience in regulatory engagement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Keen understanding of trade and cross border issues relating to technology platforms, communication, and persuasive skills as well as an ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in policy engagement and helping understand complex policy situations for a multinational corporation or civil society institution.
  • Passionate about Meta and its mission to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together
  • Ability to translate policy solutions towards the larger objective of driving business objectives and contribute through strategic planning with cross functional teams.
  • A cross-functional team player with the ability to drive and manage multiple priorities.
  • Deep interest in technology and related policy solutions.
  • Interest and willingness to travel
  • Considerable experience in public policy, MBA preferred
