Partner Engineering Manager Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead a team of software engineers in creating, maintaining and supporting software solutions that are built on a combination of proprietary tailor-made code, open source and off-the-shelf technologies, designing the future of Facebook
  • Support full-stack engineering teams and manage the technical relationship with teams throughout Facebook
  • Lead, develop, manage and grow the Partner Engineers' success through coaching and mentorship with a focus on building the team's capabilities
  • Reduce operational risk and unlock partner value within the Facebook Partnerships Organization by building and integrating a variety of tools and systems
  • Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger Facebook infrastructure to solve problems across the Partnerships Organization
  • Own and maintain new and existing systems to ensure they're keeping up with the needs of Facebook's business
  • Produce tools that are scalable, automated, and well-documented in order to scale the adoption of tools, services and platforms to other engineering teams within Partnerships
Minimum Qualifications
  • 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 36 months of experience in each of the following:
  • Managing technical teams
  • Building products including front-end technologies or back-end systems
  • C++, Java, JavaScript, or PHP
  • Unix or Linux
  • Large-scale Internet service architectures (load balancing, LAMP, or CDN’s)
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems
  • Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams
  • Developing and managing requirements and making data-driven decisions
  • Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth
