Meta is seeking a versatile Hardware Engineer to join our Network Hardware team. Our mission is backed by a massive hardware infrastructure. Our interconnect challenges in networks and in AI fabrics are big, complex, and consistently evolving. Network Hardware Engineer Responsibilities
  • Specify, design, and develop hardware and platform solutions with leading-edge ASICs, for use in our networks and AI fabrics
  • Work with local and remote teams and suppliers, to define product roadmap and program from concept to production.
  • Lead the bring-up, validation, and launch of hardware systems.
  • Support hyper-scale deployment and obtain learning for next generation design.
  • Collaborate with open source hardware community to drive innovation for large scale infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with development and bring-up of data center system equipment, or complex consumer devices.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering Degree, with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with PCB design with both integrated and discrete circuits, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Experience in working with peers.
  • Experience with analyzing and resolving system hardware issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of industry experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with end-to-end enabling, design, and deployment cycle of multiple generations of products
  • M.S. in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • Experience with owning and delivering a complete hardware enclosure as technical lead with other cross functional teams in engineering, program, and operation
  • Familiar with switch system architectures of one of the major switch silicon suppliers.
  • Experience with design and troubleshoot interfaces used in network hardware such as I2C, PCIe, optical modules, high-speed SerDes.
  • Experience with industry standard EDA tools for developing and reviewing PCB designs.
  • Experience with using high speed scope, logic analyzer, and other validation methods in validating and troubleshooting switch and network hardware (e.g. PCIe, 200/400GE).
  • Knowledge of using Linux for hardware validation and troubleshooting.

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
