Meta's AR hardware product team is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in power circuit design, test, and characterization. We are looking for a self-starter and a team player who can thrive in a dynamic environment. Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks are a must.
Electrical Engineer, Power Systems Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the power circuit design, simulation, validation, and characterization of a highly complex consumer electronic device
  • Evaluate and enable innovative solutions for cost, size, efficiency, safety, and reliability
  • Generate design documentation, perform schematic capture and power delivery network simulation both pre and post board layout, prototype bring-up and design validation
  • Root-cause and solve technical issues during new product development and in field escalations
  • Characterize power consumption, battery runtime, battery charging/discharging curve at each build
  • Collect power measurements for weekly SW builds and drive every mA of power out of the system cross-functionally
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience of low power design in consumer electronics or related fields
  • Experience with DC/DC regulators
  • Experience with battery power management and lithium ion batteries
  • Experience with mobile SoC and companion PMIC chipset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cadence design tools
  • Experience with main stream PDN simulation tools such as Sigrity or HyperLynx
  • Experience with thermal management
  • Experience with designing small form factor wearable products
  • Experience with low power management and power management (PMIC) design
  • Experience with power, performance and cost optimization
  • Experience with battery pack and cell technology, and effects of temperature or age or cycles and other

$129,000/year to $196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits , if applicable.
