Product Designer Responsibilities
  • Design, prototype, and code front-end user interfaces that are simple and elegant for Meta’s platform, products, or applications.
  • Take broad, conceptual product ideas and translate them into functional, scalable software and code to be used for front-end application development.
  • Write code and programs for User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) products.
  • Utilize a full range of front-end programming, human-computer interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led code and software solutions to complex product issues.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure the compatibility of front-end software and code components with the technical specifications of a given product.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategies to oversee the development of the UX and UI assets of a product from conception until launch.
  • Ensure code and software assets for frontend product design are compatible with Meta’s brand.
  • Build and code innovative user interfaces and user-facing products that offer new app functions and features, and improve exiting app functions and features.
  • Provide additional post-launch front-end code and user-facing interface support to maximize continued product efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Interactive Design, Architecture, or a related field and 60 months of Progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a UX or UI design related occupation. Experience must include 60 months of experience in each of the following:
  • End to end design, planning and execution for enterprise business applications and cloud management solutions across desktop and mobile applications
  • Design innovation, implementation and execution for big data and large scale risk management applications
  • Visualizing and manipulating high complex data sets using tools such as D3.js, processing, and p5.js
  • Information architecture design and interaction design for IAAS and Paas solutions
  • Concept, wireframes, click-through and Front end user interface with Angular.js, sublime text, and JQuery
