Software Engineer (Machine Learning) Responsibilities
  • Full stack web/mobile application development with a variety of coding languages.
  • Create consumer products and features using internal programming language Hack.
  • Implement web or mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build the next generation of products leveraging frameworks such as React & React Native.
  • Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services.
  • Build report interfaces and data feeds.
  • Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 60 months In the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 60 months involving the following:
  • C, C++, C#, or Java
  • Relational databases and SQL
  • Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs) and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
  • Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
  • Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  • Building highly-scalable performant solutions
  • Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction
  • Designing scalable distributed systems with established partition tolerance, consistency, and availability guarantees
  • Algorithms
  • Distributed systems
