We are looking for a leader to join our Legal Operations team, who is responsible for ensuring that we are able to operationally comply with external regulation, policy, practices, and user rights for the family of Facebook products. This includes Intellectual Property (IP) Operations, where we work across Legal, Product and Operations to understand how best to uphold users’ rights through operational improvements, scale our operations globally and partner with product to support key initiatives in the IP, Trademark and Counterfeit Space. This Director will have deep domain expertise in operations and technology and a passion for Legal and Product, cross functional partnership and talent and team development. You will guide vision and strategy and drive execution as we support Legal Programs around Intellectual Property, Counterfeit and Trademark issues. You'll work in close partnership with and influence strategic investments with cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, operations, and data/analytics. Head of Global Intellectual Property Operations Responsibilities
  • Serve as cross-functional leader, engaging with the global leadership team and teams across the company to identify new strategic areas, identify process improvement opportunities, influence platform and tooling roadmaps and go upstream to influence how we respond to growing demands
  • Manage and drive operational excellence and innovation in the IP space
  • Advocate for and lead strategic initiatives to transform the support experience for our community
  • Partner with global leaders, HR, L&D & Recruiting to develop and execute on a holistic people strategy to attract, retain and develop top talent and role model leadership best practices
  • Provide strong and visionary leadership to your teams, enhance and develop a strong team culture of trust and commitment to impact in how we support our community, defining north star for world class community support experience
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Legal operations domain experience, managing global teams in domains such as Intellectual Property/Trademark Operations, customer service, or process improvement
  • 5+ years people management experience including managing leaders and managing remotely across regions, proven track record of attracting, scaling and developing teams
  • Cross-functional leadership and relationship building: Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Thought leadership: Strategic thinker with proven track record of transforming operations to provide customer experience through innovation and improvement
  • Experience communicating effectively to all levels of the organization, including executives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the technology and/or internet companies
