We are hiring an Engineering Manager to support the Organic Prevention Experiences team. The team’s mission is to prevent Meta’s enforcements by providing greater transparency to people before they take an action that is likely to be enforced. Currently the team is iterating on a new UX platform to reduce the time it takes to launch an experience from months to days that scale the family of apps. In addition, the team is the center of supporting critical global regulations (i.e. Digital Services Act), which align with the team’s overall mission and vision of increasing transparency of enforcements. The London based team (8+ SWE) has broad engineering expertise that spans backend, scalable systems, to front end user experiences that are available across the family of apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger). They both build end to end experiences seen by billions of people around the world as well as provide platforms for internal partner teams to do the same. Why Integrity? Integrity is the highest-priority area for our company. User experience plays a critical role in integrity — for everything from sensitive content, or illegal activity, to the very integrity of elections. Cross-Meta Integrity (XI) Experiences builds the products and UI people and businesses use when they interact with our Integrity processes. We build these experiences at scale across problems and surfaces, to ensure Meta’s approach to integrity is legitimate in the eyes of people, businesses and stakeholders. We also aim to increase voice and economic opportunities and to prevent harm. In 2023, we are focused on compliance, friction and unification. Additionally, we are understanding how integrity experiences impact top-line company metrics. You will get to work closely with our XFN partners and have exposure to a wide breadth of integrity and product teams across the company. We regularly present in the company's integrity conference. Most of the coding is in Hack (backend), Native template (iOS, Android, fblite) and React (WWW). Our engineers are (or soon become) familiar with NT, Android, iOS, FBLite, Instagram/Django, web frontend or other tech stacks. London has the largest engineering presence in Integrity at Meta. Our teams are fully centered in London with full XFN support. As a foundation team, most of our collaborators are in London and the same time-zone. We travel to MPK, Seattle and countries around the globe for conferences, research and collaboration (but these are never a requirement).
