Commerce Operations is a rapidly growing team within our Global Operations function. Its mission is to build and deliver operations to provide the integrity, experience, and support for Commerce users across the Facebook Family of Apps, ensuring Sellers achieve success and Buyers can transact seamlessly through trusted connections. People on the Analytics and Business Reporting team empower Meta’s Commerce Operations organization to be self-sufficient in tactical decision-making and drive operations strategy through objective analysis. We are responsible for providing accurate, reliable and accessible business metrics as well as contextualizing them in operational performance with research and advanced analysis. We are looking for a manager to join our Analytics and Business Reporting, Forecasting and Measurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong forecasting and measurement experience, data infrastructure and data architecture skills, strong operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, project management leadership, and a vision for how data engineering can proactively improve companies. A successful candidate for this role will help drive strategic priorities, assume management responsibilities, and partner with operations teams to leverage data in driving both incremental and transformative improvements to our efficiency, resource allocation, and measurement of goals.
Manager, Analytics and Business Reporting, Forecasting and Measurement Responsibilities
  • Drive Forecasting and Measurement capabilities across the business with sophisticated models, automation and scale
  • Drive the design, building, and launching of new data models, data pipelines, and data products in production
  • Drive data quality across the vertical and related business area
  • Manage and lead a high-caliber team of data developers and provide technical guidance and career development
  • Establish team goals and work with direct reports on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results
  • Build cross-functional relationships to understand data needs, build key metrics and standardize their usage across the organization
  • Manage the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizations
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience in building data pipelines, ETLs, data products and distributed data systems
  • 4+ years of experience building and managing a team of data engineers
  • Understanding of data architecture and concepts experience writing testable code and releasing code into production
  • Experience in building self-service data services
  • Experience thinking strategically, structurally solving product problems, and driving execution
  • Project management experience - identifying, scoping, prioritizing, tracking and reporting deliverables and milestones
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics) and/or MBA
  • Experience applying machine learning methods to large data sets
  • Experience working with large scale complicated datasets, distributing computing engines (Presto, Spark), ETL automation and BI visualization tools
  • Experience in commerce, operational analytics and quality measurement/improvement
  • Demonstrated success presenting complex data insights to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action
  • Experience driving change in a fast-paced and matrixed operational environment
  • Experience collaborating effectively with a diverse variety of individuals and organizations
