Software Engineer, Product (Kustomer) Responsibilities
  • Full stack web/mobile application development with a variety of coding languages
  • Deliver on multiple projects of increasing complexity in an ambiguous or high-impact area over time
  • Improve our technical quality both through directly driving improvements, creating new tools and processes and giving feedback to others
  • Be an influencer and proactively find and solve problems without guidance
  • Help us move faster by identifying issues slowing the team down and driving change
  • Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes
  • Work with your team and cross functional partners to define and influence our product roadmap
  • May involve handling sensitive personal data
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years experience programming in one of the following languages: JavaScript, C++, Java, Python, and/or PHP
  • 6+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on experience building holistic web based software solution, API design, and interactions between servers and clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and debugging Node.js applications in a large-scale production environment
  • Knowledgeable of advanced Chrome DevTools features, specifically around performance
  • Knowledgeable in deploying to and monitoring applications in AWS or other cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with continuous deployment and automated testing practices
  • Experience with other tools we use: AWS services, TypeScript, Docker, Jest, Storybook, Cypress, and ESLint
  • Experience with GitHub, Docker, Terraform, Mongo, Elasticsearch and/or AWS
  • Experience building React/Redux web applications
  • Experience with datastores like Mongo, Elasticsearch and Redis
  • JavaScript Experience
