We are currently seeking a Creative Director for Art on the Metaworks, Reality Labs team to partner with Product Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, Art Directors, Researchers, and Marketing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with real time virtual environments and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured environment. This person must be comfortable guiding teams and production partners and should be willing to roll up their sleeves to do hands on work when necessary.
Creative Director - Reality Labs Responsibilities
  • Partner with leads on the strategic, creative, and technology direction of Art across Metaworks
  • Push the boundaries of how working in the Metaverse is represented in digital form
  • Define direction for Art creative and technology in new product experiences
  • Inspire the creative team to be passionate and ambitious in their work
  • Maintain and manage consistency of visual quality across the product
  • Effectively influence leaders and key partners across Metaworks and Meta products to gain alignment and communicate with conviction
  • Partner closely with product, design and engineering to identify opportunities for feature enhancements that would elevate the quality and user experience
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product marketers and engineers to serve a global audience
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive industry experience including shipping at least two AAA titles as an Art Director or Creative Director
  • Highly strategic thinker and communicator
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, balance the needs of stakeholders, and break down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas
  • Foundation in real time 3D and a good understanding of technical challenges for creating mobile or real-time products
  • Up to date with industry news and understand the VR and Metaverse landscape
  • Experience working in a product development process
  • Experience providing direction on visual and content strategy
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex, sometimes abstract, concepts clearly and persuasively
