Communications Associate, AI Research & Responsible Innovation

In this role, you will support industry leading-efforts in open science and AI research, both within the company and for the industry at large. You will also play a key role in supporting Meta AI’s efforts in further establishing and growing our efforts in responsible AI. The ideal candidate will have a mix of strong writing, messaging and media relations capabilities along with the ability to program manage key initiatives across cross-functional teams. This individual should excel at working collaboratively with a range of individuals from researchers, executives and cross functional stakeholders in marketing, policy and legal. You should be passionate about the positive potential for AI and open science.
Communications Associate, AI Research & Responsible Innovation Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with Corporate, Internal, International, Product, Platform, Policy and Communications teams to outline and develop impactful speeches, scripts, talking points and other written materials for various executives and spokespeople.
  • Research and package content from internal and external resources to develop insightful and engaging corporate narratives.
  • Partner with the Editorial team to help develop complementary visuals and videos for external and internal use.
  • Help executives assimilate content and fine-tune delivery.
  • Identify and vet prospective venues for appearances that augment or otherwise complement communication programs and initiatives.
  • Work with communication teams to identify opportunities to promote and distribute appearances and related materials to increase visibility and impact.
  • Repackage materials as needed to ensure content and concepts extends into other communication efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, English, or related field
  • 5+ years work experience in communications
  • Experience working with the media on competitive deadlines
  • Experience working across diverse cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree, MBA, or Masters in Communications
  • Experience working in the AI field
  • Experience working in technology communications
