VR ART, TECHNICAL ARTIST Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with the engineering and design teams to define and develop content in bespoke VR engine, Unity, Unreal, and other graphic engines.
  • Design, manage and maintain the pipeline from artists and designers through to deployment.
  • Optimize content through enhancing performance and instructing the artists and designers on asset creation, modeling and texturing best practices.
  • Work closely with engineers to implement interactive objects and systems.
  • Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining assets from creation to shipping.
  • Ability to collaborate and iterate based on the team's needs.
  • Develop DCC tools and plug-ins
  • Develop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety technical and artistic tasks
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive content pipeline development experience, with emphasis on building efficient and user friendly pipelines and tools for content creation and asset tracking, in AAA games, FX and/or big tech companies
  • Knowledge of pipeline and tools design and implementation/optimisation of those in large, multi-team, distributed environments
  • 3+ years of experience in game development or film as a Technical Artist
  • Experience with Python/PyQt, Maya PyMEL
  • Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience communicating across team members including engineers and artists
  • Experience with 3D software packages such as Maya, Houdini, Substance, Photoshop, etc
  • Experience with game optimization techniques and performance analysis
  • Experience working with Unity or Unreal
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building mobile applications
  • Content development experience, including shipping one or more titles
  • Prior virtual reality experience
  • In depth knowledge of Perforce, git and other source control systems
  • Shader programming experience
  • Experience with C++,C#
  • Meta Quest game development

$127,000/year to $178,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits , if applicable.
