We are looking for an experienced product marketer to play a critical role in shaping WhatsApp’s core consumer experience. This individual plays a significant role in leading in envisioning the future of the WhatsApp product experience and developing breakthrough marketing initiatives that drive consumer awareness, engagement, and retention aligned to the product. The ideal candidate is someone who can drive both strategy and execution and cares deeply about WhatsApp’s mission to connect the world privately. They are analytical and creative, highly collaborative, and will have a successful track record of launching & scaling mass-market consumer products or services that people cannot live without for a range of well-known consumer brands. They will have a track record for influencing the product roadmap, successfully representing the consumer across the product lifecycle, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization. Consumer Product Marketing Manager, WhatsApp Responsibilities
  • Drive go-to-market plans working closely with cross-functional teams to determine effective launch strategy and communications sequencing
  • Build strong product positioning, clear narratives, and drive influence across the WhatsApp core consumer product to ensure we’re delivering consumer value and driving understanding
  • Work with UXR, Marketing Insights & Data Science to generate break-through quantitative, qualitative research and competitive insights
  • Partner with brand and integrated marketing on outbound marketing and advertising strategies and programs to drive consumer awareness, adoption and long term engagement
  • Understand the WhatsApp consumer and their connection with the product to drive meaningful new product adoption, greater engagement and brand preference
Minimum Qualifications
  • A deep passion for WhatsApp and it’s mission to connect the world privately
  • 7+ years of experience in consumer product marketing and/or consumer marketing, or product management
  • Experience with product launches and consumer campaigns
  • Experience working closely with product, design and analytical teams in the product development process
  • Track record of influencing behaviour at variety of levels in the organization, including cross-functional leaders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in technology, startups, or consumer mobile app space
  • Experience working as a Product Marketing Manager on a tech product that impacts consumers
  • International experience and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes
