At Meta, our Global Immigration Partners form a team that provide in-depth support at all levels of the company to ensure the successful execution of our current and future global immigration strategy. We are looking to add a new member to this team with specific focus on our APAC region, at a time of continued growth for our company! The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience in a senior global immigration at a law firm and/or management level in-house at a fast-growing multinational company. Strong vendor partnership and demonstrated success independently managing multiple activities for a large global immigration program are required. This role plays a pivotal and strategic role to the global immigration program running smoothly across the various insourced and outsourced operations teams. This role will champion and deliver a premium people experience for all aspects of global immigration and ensure compliance with existing and changing global legislation. This role will be part of our Global Mobility team and will be based at our APAC headquarters in Singapore.
Global Immigration Partner Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth counsel with analysis of global immigration processes, identification of process and policy gaps, drafting of policy and process revisions and assist with the implementation of new or revised programs.
  • Provide consultations on the most complex and high-level matters to develop strategies to mitigate risk and provide timely solutions.
  • Lead or Partner on specialized projects with strategic focus on APAC immigration policy, vendor selection and performance management, stakeholder education and consultation /advising and implementing, maintaining and reporting on immigration policy matters.
  • Ensure that our vendors and internal partners provide a high-quality experience to employees, managers and business stakeholders.
  • Leverage internal shared services and outsourced partners for transactional activity while focusing themselves on more strategic initiatives.
  • Role model partnership and collaboration at all levels with internal stakeholders, to deliver our high bar of people experience.
  • Provide critical subject matter expertise for corporate development activity, i. e., mergers and acquisitions. Ability to manage transitions related to M&A activity independently and quickly.
  • Lead various internal reviews or audits of immigration data, processes and policies.
  • Develop and deliver company-wide education materials, seminars, Q&A s, etc.
  • Collaborate with the global mobility team on other team initiatives and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in immigration, Human Resources or directly related field.
  • 7+ years working in a technical role within global immigration with industry in-house immigration and mobility program experience or law firm experience.
  • Deep working knowledge of all Asia region visa types, processes and the ability to review case facts to determine the optimal filing type.
  • Ability to influence all levels of leadership and lead industry transforming practices across all vendors and to articulate immigration matters to leadership and/or stakeholders.
  • Project management skills across multiple disciplines and stakeholders driving projects from conception to implementation.
  • Capable of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action. Ability to analyze situations and spot potential issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and working with highly confidential data. Ability to absorb/retain large amounts of data.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work independently but contributing within a team environment (remote and onsite).
  • Ability to travel as needed.
