Meta’s Global Risk Operations (GRO) organization advocates for and protects every person, community, and business from risk on our platforms, across the world. Within GRO, the Ops Enablement team drives operational excellence and continuous improvement via horizontal programs that address key needs facing our organization. These programs - which include technical teams, resource management, learning, quality, and other centralized efforts - underpin the ability of the rest of GRO to manage a dynamic and complex operations landscape in an efficient, rigorous, and coordinated way. We are looking for a seasoned director to build and lead a world-class Ops Enablement organization. The ideal candidate will have a blend of breadth and depth of expertise in fields that create sustainable foundations for complex risk operations, and be a thought leader who excels at inspiring teams to rally around valuable new approaches to conducting and improving a diverse and dynamic body of high impact work. The director will also excel at talent development, communicate in a clear and influential way, and provide vision and forward looking strategies that inspire teams under and outside of their remit. They will effectively influence strategic investments, roadmaps, and business practices in order to drive innovation and improve the horizontal underpinnings of our constantly evolving risk operations. They will be responsible for elevating GRO to its next stage of growth and operational maturity, thereby setting up the org to succeed into the future.
Director of Operations Enablement, Global Operations Responsibilities
  • Oversee horizontal functions that enable the entire GRO organization and its operational excellence
  • Lead teams that build our operational infrastructure, enable prioritization of work to people, and improve the effectiveness of our content enforcement
  • Responsibilities include tooling strategy, ENG/Product liaison, data creation and analysis, prioritization and triaging system design, supply/demand matching, headcount planning, learning curriculum development, quality assessment, business process governance, and streamlined GRO goal planning
  • Provide strong and visionary leadership that inspires GRO to adopt business approaches that up-level our operational rigor
  • Develop a strong team culture of trust and commitment to inspire change and support our community
  • Drive continuous improvement, step-change innovation, goal alignment, and execution planning to deliver on immediate and long-term goals and objectives
  • Inspire consensus and drive efficient change around new and improved business practices and capabilities
  • Guide the organization smoothly into its next stage of growth by introducing best-in-class programs and operational infrastructure that enable a continually expanding global footprint and complexity of operations
  • Cultivate strong and lasting collaborative relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions across the company, as well as with direct GRO teams
  • Actively engage as a member of the global leadership team for cross-cutting strategic, operational and people initiatives
  • Influence cross-functional roadmaps and strategic investments as an advocate for our community and businesses across product, policy, process, systems, data/analytics
  • Partner with global leaders, HR, L&D & Recruiting to develop and execute a holistic people strategy to attract, retain and develop top talent
Minimum Qualifications
  • Domain experience: 10+ years of experience leading strategic, innovative work in fields such as risk management, operational infrastructure, operational design, business continuity, operational readiness, compliance, quality, continuous improvement, customer service, or Trust & Safety
  • Global leadership: 10+ years of people management experience, including managing and developing leaders and managing remotely across multiple sites. Proven track record of attracting talent, scaling and developing high performing teams, and understanding and celebrating diversity. We seek a leader with demonstrated success in proactively building new capabilities and teams, maturing business operations, and forming collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Thought leadership: Strategic thinker with proven track record of transforming operations through innovation and long-term strategies for continuous improvement, setting organizations up to successfully adapt to evolving business needs
  • Communication: Experience influencing global cross-functional leaders in highly complex business environments
  • BS/BA Degree or higher
