Technical Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead the teams designing and implementing cell and wireless connectivity software stacks.
  • Help drive the team to solve the hard problems and debug complex, system-level, multicomponent issues that typically span across multiple layers from modem, middle wares, and the application.
  • Closely collaborate with carrier engineering, certification, and product management teams to drive, track, and deliver Cellular and other wireless technology features for the certification of AR, VR, Portal, and Wearable products across multiple mobile network operators worldwide.
  • Create development, delivery, and compliance schedules based on device requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs provided by carrier engineering and certification teams.
  • Deliver HW, SW, FW, and support logistics for required testing, user trials, and telecom carriers for certification.
  • Issue triage, including identifying the nature of issue, allocating affected HW to the appropriate HW, SW, or FW teams, providing issue disposition, and enabling rapid turn time before lab entry and same-day fix.
  • Create, collaborate with HW and SW stakeholders, communicate program status, and deliver on validation schedules.
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans.
  • Develop project goals and schedules based on product requirements, technical challenges, and business needs.
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify and address potential setbacks, cutting through ambiguity and driving clarity.
  • Demonstrate "bias for action," including proactively seeking out and correcting inefficiencies, and contributing to resource planning.
  • Identify and address potential setbacks.
  • Drive device pre-scan and work with compliance team for final certification.
  • Up to 20% travel required at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States and internationally.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 24 months experience in Job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 24 months of experience involving following:
  • Business Tools, including M Visio, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, G-Suite, Lucidchart, or JIRA
  • NFC, GPS, RF, or Wireless
  • Interfacing with engineering teams and external vendors for project requirements and scoping
  • Coordinating cross-functional technology programs
  • Driving and tracking the investigation, definition, and delivery of wireless modules, subsystems, antennas, and embedded software and firmware
  • Creating development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs
