Network Egineer Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy network automation systems and network performance improvements for our production network.
  • Build experience with Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure Engineering teams and their designs.
  • Develop and optimize tools used to secure network infrastructure, ensure integrity of device management actions, and authorize device level network access.
  • Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network sourced events.
  • Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to service impacting events.
  • Be an active participant in deep technical discussions.
  • Develop and maintain security, consistency and efficiency within the network infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 6 months of experience involving the following:
  • Scripting and/or coding
  • Developing and understanding network device configuration for at least one vendor (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Brocade, Ciena, Infinera, Linux, etc.)
  • Configuration and maintenance of network devices and network management systems, or applications such as web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, and messaging systems
  • Linux/Unix OS operations
  • TCP/IP Networking with IPv4 and IPv6, Routing, Switching
  • Analytics and troubleshooting of networks, including design, BGP, MPLS or other routing protocols

$180,583/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
