Product Manager, Horizon Rendering Platform
Location pin icon
Today, you look at the internet. In the future, you will be in it. The metaverse is the successor to the mobile internet. It is a set of digital spaces that are interconnected so you can easily move between them. It lets you do things you couldn't do in the physical world with people you can't physically be with. You'll be able to hang out together with friends, work, play, learn, shop, create, and more. And you’ll be able to access these spaces across all your devices. Meta Horizon brings people together around shared activities. It’s a collection of fun and rewarding games and experiences (“Worlds”) plus the platform and tools to create them. Our titles are social first – worlds focus on shared activities to help people build new friendships, hang out together, and play together. Horizon also provides a set of services that enhance these experiences (identity, inventory, travel, multiplayer coordination, media sharing, etc), providing consistency, continuity, and co-presence for the metaverse on Meta Quest and other devices. As the Product Manager for Rendering on the Horizon Platform team, you will lead a team of engineers and designers to build the capabilities and features required for millions of people to see and experience these virtual worlds. You’ll also partner closely with other Horizon teams to ensure that thousands of creators and developers can build the visually rich and engaging worlds that people visit. You will be responsible for what the metaverse looks like in VR, on phones, and computers, and you’ll share in the responsibility for the quality of the user experience. In a typical month you will set or adjust the rendering vision, goals, and milestone plans, work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and features, and align staffing with the most important problems to be solved (design, data science, technical art, legal, etc). The ideal candidate is a Product Manager or Producer with experience in the games or 3D graphics industries, who has experience defining and building platforms for developers or creators, as well as the technical acumen to understand rendering problems, solutions, and tradeoffs.
