Technical Quality Specialist, WhatsApp ProdOps Responsibilities
  • Serve as technical expert in our mobile app and a source of information to the rest of Customer Operations team.
  • Be the representative of quality for products/features, assess risk and formulate test strategies to ensure shipping features with a high quality bar.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team as well as product team in planning and executing functional, regression, verification, and end-to-end release test plans.
  • Coordinate QA testing and bug bashes with internal resources as well as external third-party vendor team.
  • Investigate, triage, and escalate issues surfaced from test runs during a feature/product beta and alpha stages.
  • Define quality metrics and implement measurement to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of our QA effort.
  • Continuously improve the overall efficiency of the ProdOps QA testing and triaging process, as well as update and evolve team workflow's documentation.
  • Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.permitted.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer related occupation. Experience must include 3 years of experience in the following:
  • Testing and debugging Web or Mobile Applications for iOS or Android
  • Black Box test planning and execution for both Functional Testing as well as E2E Release Testing
  • Balancing independent tasks/goals while contributing to team goals and collaborating with other team members
  • Testing background in at least one of the following: Functional, GUI, Integration, BAT, Black Box, Gray Box, Exploratory, Regression, or Smoke
  • Testing on Mobile platforms: iOS and Android
  • Testing on Desktop Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, and Unix/Linux
  • Testing Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, REST, JSON, and JavaScript
  • Development methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, BDD, and continuous integration

$140,358/year to $148,500/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
