Meta is seeking a Critical Facility Manager to join our Data Center Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The Critical Facility Manager is responsible for the safe and effective operations, maintenance, and modernization of a 30+ MW data center. This person must be highly motivated with the ability to supervise others.
Critical Facility Manager Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Critical Facility Engineers (CFEs) through mentoring, coaching and intentional performance management to maintain a safe and effective operations environment
  • Direct a team of Critical Facility Technicians to perform routine maintenance and operations
  • Manage operations and maintenance of all critical infrastructure equipment and systems in a 30+ MW data center
  • Serve as the final approval authority of all operating procedures
  • Responsible for incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure for any operational issues that arise in their data center
  • Maintain strong partnership with server hardware and network capacity teams to achieve maximum uptime for the downstream users
  • Support the environmental, health and safety (EHS), and technical training programs and ensure adherence to Meta Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Routinely inspect buildings, grounds and critical equipment, and provide periodic observation and assessment of operations in the data center
  • Ensure the accuracy of work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets Meta standards
  • Support construction project execution in the data center by providing facility personnel support and deconfliction of work
  • Occasional travel as required <5%
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience using hands and fingers
  • Reach/push/pull with hands/arms/shoulders
  • Proficient with maintenance management programs
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • 5+ years experience in critical facilities operations
  • Experience working at varying heights and from ladders
  • Experience lifting and/or otherwise move 45 pounds or more regularly
  • Experience regularly walking job site areas of flat and uneven terrain
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree, technical trade certification or state licensure in electrical, mechanical and/or controls
  • 5+ years experience in team management
  • 5+ years experience in data centers

$106,000/year to $152,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits , if applicable.
