As a member of the Contingent Workforce team, the Director, Vendor Engagement will own the global MSP and VMS relationships to ensure delivery of a best-in-class Contingent Workforce program. They will partner with key stakeholders, clients and vendors to develop innovative solutions at scale. Working cross-functionally, they will run a CW program that combines risk mitigation and user experience to develop tools and solutions that enable our clients to get work done. This individual will develop a deep understanding of the operational challenges, complex needs and regional nuances of our clients as they design enterprise-wide solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing vendor relationships built on achieving results; including actively monitoring, managing, and improving vendor performance and ensuring adherence to SLAs. They will be responsible for reviewing and managing existing contracts, working with HR Supplier Management to ensure agreements are updated as necessary to reflect current business needs. The Vendor Engagement Manager will develop a governance model for service performance management, change control, issue management, project management, invoice validation and payment. At their core, the ideal candidate is both a relationship builder and change agent. Our ideal candidate is someone who can collaboratively build on, and evolve our Contingent Workforce strategy with a passion and deep acumen for process excellence and change management.
Director, Vendor Engagement Responsibilities
  • Manage MSP and VMS to meet SLAs for global program
  • Collaborate and work closely with vendors and cross-functional partners to ensure that the agreed scope of services are delivered
  • Implement, monitor, and oversee service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for various contingent workforce operational processes (both internal as well as with our MSP)
  • Develop and drive strategic governance model to identify ongoing process and service improvements to create maximum benefit and impact
  • Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Drive process design, implementation and iteration of CW processes at scale
  • Design and build a technology roadmap
  • Identify ongoing process and service improvements and drive prioritization to create maximum benefit and impact
  • Partner with internal stakeholder to create scalable, compliant solutions to meet business objectives
  • Build forecasting models for various contingent workforce types in conjunction with HR, Finance and business stakeholders
  • Define and implement strategy for identifying, onboarding and managing new suppliers to meet business needs and company financial and diversity objectives
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience managing large scale projects and complex, international, outsourced vendor relationships and/or Contingent Workforce program management
  • Proven program/project management skills, from strategy to design through execution
  • Experience building relationships and influencing leaders at all level of an organization
  • Experience with procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing solutions for strategic vendor partners
  • Experience working through ambiguity and uncertainty in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • Systematic problem solver with experience offering creative solutions and influences leadership to act with impact
  • Experience as a leader who is collaborative, creative, and innovative in identifying solutions and persuading others to a course of action
  • Strategic knowledge - can tell a story through analysis, develop innovative strategies and drive value add throughout each project
  • Experience Influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization on major decisions across functions
  • Experience working with technology teams to develop tech solutions (RPA, Knowledge Base and self-solve solutions, VMS enhancements) to optimize Contingent Workforce user and worker experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 12+ years experience in leading Contingent Workforce, Managed Service Provider (MSP) operations or client leadership, Professional Services Category Management/Sourcing, or Recruiting Operations
  • 8+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • 5+ years experience in the engagement processes (sourcing, contracting, onboarding, escalation management) for temp workers, contractors, consultants, outsourced workers, and other SOW workers
  • Experience with Vendor Management Systems
  • Experience with Managed Service Provider offerings and/or outsourced services procurement
  • Lean and/or Six sigma experience
