The AI & Systems Co-Design team at Meta is looking for a technical manager to lead the development of next-generation compute platforms. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of skilled engineers in exploring innovative technologies, defining roadmap strategy, and collaborating on hardware/software design to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of our fleet. Our team works closely with internal engineering teams on workload and infrastructure requirements, ensuring our solutions meet the needs of our users. We also engage with external industry partners to shape their roadmaps and stay ahead of the curve. With a strong academic connection, our team has a history of patents and publications in top systems conferences.
Engineering Manager - Compute Platforms HW/SW Co-design Responsibilities
  • Be both technical and an effective people manager capable to lead a team of high caliber engineers
  • Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization
  • Grow a strong team of domain experts focused on hardware/software codesign technologies
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional hardware and software engineering teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in one or more of the following technical domains: CPU architecture (x86/ARM/RISC), memory technologies, PCIe, CXL and storage.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing a technical team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, full-stack performance analysis of server applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a management role with experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management.
