Join the dynamic Meta FinTech Compliance team and play a pivotal role in evolving our Consumer Protection Compliance program. You will help mitigate and manage consumer protection compliance risks across Meta’s financial technology and payment products, including digital wallet and checkout experiences.
Consumer Protection Compliance Officer Responsibilities
  • Compliance Advisory: - Advise product teams on consumer protection risk considerations for new products and initiatives - Proactively identify potential compliance risks and propose potential risk mitigations - Review consumer-facing content and user interfaces to ensure that representations are clear and accurate
  • Customer Support Oversight: - Advise operational teams on the identification, investigation, escalation and resolution of consumer complaints and disputes - Analyze complaint trends to identify and address potential issues impacting consumers - Perform monitoring and testing to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of consumer complaints and disputes - Respond to regulatory complaints, maintaining Meta's reputation and compliance
  • Regulatory Engagement: - Prepare materials for regulatory examinations and coordinate with business stakeholders to respond to regulatory requests - Lead examination readiness assessments - Foster strong relationships with regulatory stakeholders
  • Control Implementation & Documentation: - Innovate and enhance compliance controls - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement control enhancements - Perform risk assessments and control mapping for comprehensive oversight
  • Program Development & Governance: - Develop consumer protection policies and standards - Actively participate in compliance governance forums - Prepare and present consumer protection compliance reporting materials to guide strategic decisions
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in financial consumer protection laws and regulations
  • Subject matter expertise in UDAAP and Regulation E
  • Experience developing and documenting consumer protection compliance controls
  • Experience managing regulatory examinations
  • Experience overseeing consumer complaints and disputes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CFPB examinations
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
  • Subject matter expertise in FCRA and ECOA
  • Experience in consumer payments, digital wallets, and financial technology
  • Experience with state money transmitter laws and regulations
  • Experience with international consumer protection regulations

$170,000/year to $242,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
