This requires unconventional thinking and lightning-fast, nimble solutions. We build enterprise products for Meta first. Meta seeks a manager for the Client Platform Engineering team. This team interacts with a broad array of internal business, product and Meta partners to deliver a common, scalable, and secure platform to run applications and services powering the entire company. Managing this team requires a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of technologies, a focus on growing and developing the skills and talents of your teams, and a relentless drive to focus on high-value projects and to prioritize ruthlessly. Enterprise Systems Engineering Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead a team responsible for a diverse set of Infra technologies
  • Contribute to technical architectures, tooling needs, automation plans and other issues and create comprehensive plans for prioritizing technical enhancements
  • Work closely with network engineering, security and core infrastructure teams to plan and execute against a broad array of business and product needs leveraging existing Facebook tooling and infrastructure whenever feasible
  • Drive efficiency while leveraging automation and innovation to scale to support Meta needs
  • Work with a diverse set of enterprise, research and engineering teams to provide Client infrastructure and support
  • Capacity planning, forecasting/asset lifecycle management and budget management
  • Help engineers develop their careers, assigning them to projects tailored to their skill levels, long-term skill development, personalities, and work styles
  • Balance the need to “keep things running” with allocating time to long-term, high-impact projects
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience leading and managing teams within an engineering organization
  • Experience building or structuring organizations
  • Experience with multi-technology vendors
  • Experience thinking strategically with analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Experience in identifying, utilizing and communicating service level performance metrics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven relationship management experience and experience working within a global organization
  • MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
