We are looking for a talented Display and Optics Supplier Quality Engineer to help us to build the display and optics components for our AR/MR products. As part of Meta Reality Labs Display and Optics Quality team, you will be a key member to work closely with cross functional teams to manage all quality issues at vendor factories, set up a world class quality control plan and quality system, and also deliver world class quality products for downstream. We are working together to create the future.
Display & Optics Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities
  • Working with the Display and Optics Engineering team and Strategic Sourcing team on the vendors selection
  • Risk assessment and qualification for both product and process of Display and Optics module and its components suppliers and also subassembly level manufacturers
  • Quality plan definition, alignment and execution for the suppliers and subassembly level manufacturer which includes PFMEA, control plan, CTQ processes, correlated inspection and testing between suppliers and subassembly level manufacturer, reliability qualification and monitoring plan, quality reporting, traceability etc.
  • Working with the engineering team on process development for display and optics modules and their components level part in the development stages
  • Review and Setup measurement SOP and do alignment in the supply chain
  • Working with the engineering team to initiate and define display and optics modules cosmetic inspection method and acceptance criteria
  • Process audit and monitoring display and Optics modules, and their components level part manufacturer for risk assessment and improvement
  • Leading for quality problem solving and yield improvement for the display and optics modules and their components level part
  • Proactive quality monitoring system setup for the purchased display and optics modules and components level part in supplier factory
  • Review and approval of the display and optics modules and their components level part shipping condition and package design validation
  • Travel overseas or domestic up to 30% of the time
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of consumer electronics or related experience
  • Experience with display and/or optical lens manufacturing quality and process control
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and vendors at the same time
  • Understanding of clean room management, ESD, MSD control
  • Familiar with DFM (design for manufacture), DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC and sampling plan definition
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Quality Engineer
  • Qualified Six Sigma Black Belt
  • AR/AS coating and AOI tools bring up
  • Master's degree or above in engineering

$170,000/year to $240,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
