Data Engineering Manager Responsibilities
- Proactively drive the vision for data engineering across product, and define and execute on a plan to achieve that plan.
- Define the processes needed to achieve operational excellence in all areas, including project management and system reliability.
- Build a high quality data engineering team and design the team to scale.
- Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Mangers and Software Engineers to understand data needs and deliver on those needs.
- Manage data warehouse plans.
- Drive the design, building and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production.
- Manage development of data resources and support new product launches.
- Drive data quality for the team and related business areas.
- Manage the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizations.
- Define and manage SLA's for all datasets and processes running in production.

Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires three years of experience in the following
- 1. Data engineering work experience including hands-on technical management building infrastructure core components
- 2. Data ETL (extract, transform, load) development
- 3. Programming in Python
- 4. Relational databases and SQL
- 5. Schema design and dimensional data modeling
- 6. Skills with software engineering process of design, development, operation and maintenance
- 7. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions.

$236,474/year to $279,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
