Meta is looking for a dynamic, adaptable, team player to serve as Associate General Counsel leading a regulatory readiness pillar in the Monetization Legal team. This role will map to key monetization product and privacy areas and will support Meta's responses to global regulatory developments. Associate General Counsel, Monetization Responsibilities
  • Assess new legal obligations by working with regional counsel to identify, evaluate, and explain impacts across monetization product and privacy areas.
  • Develop deep product and subject matter expertise by providing strategic support for responses to upcoming legal requirements.
  • Help product and privacy teams understand how requirements in different jurisdictions fit together.
  • Develop durable compliance strategies. Drive Meta's Monetization regulatory response compliance strategy, partner with other functions to explore global compliance solutions and follow through to execution and product launch.
  • Anticipate future developments by aligning with Legal, Policy, Product, and Privacy teams, recognize trends in the evolving global landscape.
Minimum Qualifications
  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 8+ years of practicing legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience.
  • Experience with one of the following, or related, legal areas: product or regulatory counseling, privacy, or data protection.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience responding to global privacy legal requirements, especially those relating to social media, digital advertising, or other technologies.
  • Experience managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience advancing simultaneous projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience collaborating at all levels of the business including executive and C-suite.

$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
