The Privacy Regulatory Response Strategic Programs team works closely with partners across Privacy, Legal, Policy, and Product to develop and scale Meta’s end-to-end Regulatory Readiness program. We also work with our partners to understand and respond to key external pressures that could impact Meta's businesses. The Privacy Strategic Program Manager supporting Privacy Areas is central to ensuring Central Privacy Product is able to identify how these pressures may impact its product strategies and roadmaps. This role is perfect for those seeking to work closely with product teams on a daily basis, and is also a good fit for those seeking to more deeply understand how regulatory, competitive, and legal matters relate to Meta's data practices and product design. As this is a highly visible role that requires strategic leadership, excellent stakeholder management, technical know-how, and operational excellence, the successful candidate should thrive in ambiguous, cross-functional environments and have a desire to solve big, hard problems. This role will work with leadership including executives at the company, on some of the biggest priorities for the company.
Privacy Regulatory Response Strategic Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Ensure Central Privacy Product is aware of external pressures identified by Legal, Policy, and teams working forecasting and analysis of the competitive landscape.
  • Lead gap analyses that allow our allow Product teams to more easily identify deltas between new regulations and existing product/strategic positions.
  • Mentor and guide small team of Strategic Program Managers in scaling ability of Reg Readiness Strategic Programs team to support a growing number of Privacy focus areas.
  • Identify opportunities for alignment across Privacy Areas--especially opportunities for alignment between Reg Readiness Strategic Program Managers.
  • Work with teams outside of Privacy (e.g. Content, Integrity, Security) to identify conflicting requirements and initiatives and improve collaboration across groups responsible for long-term regulatory strategy.
  • Scale the capacity of the Regulatory Readiness team through process optimization, t-shirt sizing, and upskilling.
  • Drive progress on priority work-streams, help build decision-making frameworks and deliverables.
  • Prepare communication materials and progress tracking for multiple audiences including leadership from privacy, legal and policy teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years overall work experience.
  • 3+ years working directly with product teams.
  • 3+ years working on Privacy OR 3+ years working on regulatory response or compliance pertaining to other types of laws and regulations.
  • 2+ leading complex strategic programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management / Program Management Certification(s).

$188,000/year to $256,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
