Enterprise Engineering (EE), Meta's internal IT organization is looking for an experienced, self-driven Vendor Strategy & Ops Manager who will be accountable for leading the vendor strategy and relationships with EE’s strategic software vendors. This role requires someone with hands-on experience in developing vendor strategy for the software category (SaaS, On premises), negotiations and managing a holistic relationship with a wide array of vendors in this space. This role is expected to drive value for EE through vendor relationships (e.g. cost leverage, performance improvements, innovation, escalation management) and extensive cross-functional collaboration to implement vendor related efficiency initiatives (e.g. application portfolio rationalization, software asset management).
Vendor Strategy & Ops Manager - Software Responsibilities
  • Own the budget for assigned vendors and be accountable for driving efficiencies through better deal structures, demand controls and license management
  • Design, collaborate and implement programs (e.g. portfolio rationalization, license allocation controls, asset management) to streamline third party software landscape across Meta
  • End-to-end ownership of non-operational (e.g. financial, risk, relationship, performance escalations, compliance, vendor driven innovation) management of large vendors within software category
  • Uplevel existing vendor relationships to ensure alignment on strategic goals, influence product roadmaps and manage escalated issues
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience managing senior level relationships with enterprise SaaS vendors
  • 7+ years of enterprise technology procurement and contract negotiations experience with SaaS vendors
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and in a role that requires influencing across different levels in the organization (internal and vendors)
  • Proven knowledge of licensing models and key contract terms in SaaS agreements
  • Experience leading large, company level software optimization initiatives (e.g. app rationalization, license optimization)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience supporting CIO orgs as a management/technology consultant
  • Deep understanding of vendor landscape, and vendor’s profitability levers, operating model, account management practices and product roadmapping process
  • Proven experience to quickly earn stakeholder trust, mobilize and influence teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, execute with limited information and ambiguity

$177,000/year to $246,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
